MEET PAUL GRAY

A Strong Voice For Parents and Students. Your Advocate.

Hello everyone, I’m Paul Gray, a candidate for TVDSB Trustee, dedicated to safe schools, strong academics, and a real partnership with parents.

I want to sincerely thank the 4,549 of you who voted for me in the 2022 election. We received 17.24% of the vote in a race where only 24.41% of eligible voters cast a ballot — a strong result, even though I didn’t win. In many ways, I now see that as a blessing in disguise.

Since then, the current TVDSB trustees have become embroiled in an embarrassing scandal that led to their powers being stripped and the Board placed under provincial supervision. This was unfortunate, but also necessary. Taxpayers have had enough of malfeasance, corruption, and fiscal irresponsibility with their tax dollars — and parents and students have felt the impact as well.

At one point, Premier Doug Ford’s government even considered eliminating trustees altogether, but parents and constituents pushed back. The good news is that trustees will continue to be elected and able to serve their communities.

I’m running because I believe our community deserves trustees who take that responsibility seriously. I need your support to help fulfill this role

My message is still the same: Parents, Children, and Education First. As your Trustee, I will stay consistent and focused on this priority.

It’s been four years since the last election, but I have not abandoned you. I stood with many parents and students during the 1 Million March 4 Children in 2023. During my 2022 campaign, I raised serious concerns about our children being exposed to radical activist ideologies in the classroom — including Critical Race Theory, the controversial sex‑ed program, gender identity theory, and the divisive ‘white privilege’ curriculum. CBC News quoted me in an article on these issues, but chose not to include my photo, without any explanation to the public.

Our education system needs to return to its core mission: educating students, not promoting activism that distracts from learning. I’m running for Trustee to bring common sense, transparency, and accountability back to our schools.

On election day, October 26, 2026, I’m asking for your vote for Paul Gray for TVDSB Trustee. A vote for me is a vote to put parents and students first.”

ABOUT ME

I  hold a diploma in Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Western University. I currently work as a contractor providing engineering and technical support to the Thames Valley, Lambton Kent, and St. Clair Catholic school boards as part of Ontario’s $23 billion School Facility Renewal Project, as well as to commercial and industrial clients. I have a passion for problem‑solving and finding practical solutions, and I will bring that same skill set to the TVDSB as your trustee.

In the past, I’ve taught ESL (English as a Subsequent Language) to new immigrants from Eastern Europe and Africa. In my spare time, I pursue my interests in meteorology as a professional storm chaser, as well as photography and music. My wife of thirty years is a retired social worker, and our daughter, a graduate of H.B. Beal and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), works in strategic PR and communications.

 Let’s win this.

As your candidate for Trustee, I know many families are facing tight budgets, food insecurity, and job uncertainty in London. Because of that, I’m not asking you to donate to my campaign — this one is on me. I want you to know I understand what’s happening in our wards and I don’t want finances to be a barrier to supporting this campaign.

If you are in a position to give, you are of course free to support other local campaigns and causes that matter to you.
