After the debates, many people met with me and trustee candidate Andrew Bawden.

A community member inquired whether the current trustees were seeking re-election. I replied, stating that Mary Ann Larsen and Leroy Osborne were not. This election features a completely new slate of candidates for Wards 2-6. I was also asked whether I believed the province would return the powers to the trustees. I expressed my optimism and mentioned that it would be fair to return powers to the trustees following the elections. It's unfortunate that the TVDSB is weighed down by controversy due to a scandal, but I am confident we can move past it and make progress. I've heard from many individuals who are exhausted by political scandals and feel powerless. I want to encourage everyone to remain hopeful and optimistic by using your inalienable right to vote and effect change.
